Exhibitions are held in North Lodge

 

Mondays - Mah-jong in North Lodge.

Join the member of the Friends for a fun filled Monday morning for games of Mah-jong in North Lodge every Monday 10am - 1pm or later if you like.  $2 a session goes towards morning tea and Friends funds.  Guaranteed a great way to start the week!

The tours are carefully planned by a small committee who take into consideration the interests of their members. Tours are leisurely, generally lasting about a week and with particular emphasis on both botanic and private gardens.

Walking Group

A Walking Group meets in the Botanic Gardens.  The group of energetic Friends meets for a fitness walk lasting an hour followed by a coffee & chat in  the Adelaide Botanic Garden.  (reasonable level of fitness required).

Each year the Friends organise activities such as:

The Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide have been conducting tours for their members for many years. An example of the variety of activities The Friends have enjoyed over the years are as follows:

  • Day tours to mainly private gardens, not always open to the general public

  • Intrastate trips to Port Augusta, Roxby Downs and Andamooka, Kangaroo Island, Yorke Peninsula and Barossa Valley

  • Interstate tours to Tasmania, Victoria, Western Australia and New South Wales
  • Overseas trips to China, New Guinea, New Zealand, Hawaii Scotland and England
